2021 Term 1 .... Issue 3
From the Principal
Dear BANB7 Community
The end of term one is nearing fast and before we know it, we will be halfway through another year. As usual, first term has been action packed with the children engaging in a wide range of learning opportunities both here at school and offsite; participating in various fun and challenging excursions.
In Studios, important time was spent at the beginning of the term transitioning into new learning environments and getting to know new people. It so important that all members of the community feel a sense of belonging and LA’s use time at the beginning of each school year focusing on team and community building in line with our wellbeing for learning framework ‘Being, Belonging, Becoming.’ Doing this sets our learners up for success and the benefits cannot be understated.
We believe that all children are competent and capable, and we endeavour to create learning environments where all children can achieve and excel, in a supportive environment that expects all our learners to aim high and achieve their personal best. A strong platform has been set for all our learners to ‘fly’ in their learning over the remaining three terms of the school year.
I thank all children of BANB7 for doing your best and being brave in your learning. Have a safe and happy holiday break and we all look forward to seeing you again in a couple of weeks.
I also thank the brilliant staff team of BANB7 for all your hard work throughout what is always a long 11-week term to kick off the school year. We are fortunate to have a staff group like we do; their ongoing commitment to our school and the learners and families in their care is something we should all be very grateful of. Wishing all our BANB7 staff a safe and relaxing holiday break also.
Some may have noticed that I have been absent in recent days. Last week I had a long overdue total knee replacement. I am on the mend and plan to return to school at the beginning of term 2.
Thanks for all your support and encouragement throughout the term and I look forward to what the rest of 2021 will bring.
Yours Sincerely
Darren
