From the Principal
Dear Families,
As the 2024 school year comes to a close, I would like to thank all of our families for your continued support. We are looking forward to another great year in 2025!
Farewells: It is with mixed emotions that we will farewell some of our LAs next year as they take on new adventures. This is an exciting time for them, and a sad time for us!
We wish our absolute best to:
Sam Anderson who is taking up a wellbeing and engagement leadership role at Alberton Primary School.
Zara DiMaria who is moving to Pennington Primary School into a teaching and learning leadership role.
Amy Sym Choon who is returning to Woodville High School as a Year level coordinator.
We would also like to thank Tia, Raj, Emma, Kylie and Alex for their work this year and wish them the very best in their endeavours for 2025.
Welcome! We will also welcome a number of new Learning Advisors to BANB6 in 2025:
Natalie Cox will join our Reception team.
Kim Schiller, Cristina Pisanelli, & June Ogane will join our Year 1 team.
Molly Ganley and Lily Anfiteatro will be our Year 3 LAs.
Lachlan Sparrow will join Kiana Keyhani (from IELC) to be our Yr 5 LAs.
Tori Davidson and Shikha Kapoor will be our Yr 6 LAs.
Information about studio placements for 2025 will come home with reports. Due to the number of new LAs, we will not have a transition afternoon this year. A full list of LAs and studios will be published in our first newsletter in 2025.
Graduations: Congratulations to all of our learners who are graduating and moving to new learning spaces for 2025. Our Year 6 learners will celebrate their Primary school years on Tuesday evening. Our IELC learners celebrated their time in IELC last week. Our preschoolers are celebrating throughout this week. This is a very exciting for both children and families. We wish you all the best.
Just a reminder that school finishes at 2pm on Friday and starts again on Tuesday 28th January. We look forward to seeing you all again then.
I wish you all a joyous and relaxing holiday break.
Leonie

From Purple 5
Purple 5 have had a busy final term of the year. Here is a snapshot of some of the things happening:
Firstly, Louise from Lutheran Care for the homeless visited Purple 5 to hear all their news about the lemonade stall they organised earlier in the term raising $100.00. With the money raised Lego was purchased for children in need.

I would also like to thank all the parents of the children from P5 regarding the studio move from P5 to P3. Thank you for your patience and understanding with this matter. The children have settled into their new environment and are excited to be year 1’s next year thank you!
Performing Arts Showcase
Performing Arts Showcase
The GLEE Club proved that persistence and resilience prevailed by showing their production of the 1939 classic tale, the Wizard of Oz. The GLEE Club performed to a live audience on Thursday, week 8 after a year of hard work which included memorising lines, learning skills in blocking, body language, facial expressions, projection and spatial awareness. The GLEE Club have shown commitment and persistence which resulted in a successful performance for the school community to experience. Even some issues with microphones didn’t stop the show from going on from our resilient children. We also enjoyed performances from the brave children in yellow 4, yellow 5, yellow 6 and purple 5. You should all be so proud of yourselves. We hope to see you at the final team time on Friday to see performances from Red 3 and the Hip Hop Crew.
