From the Principal
Dear BANB6 Community
A very warm welcome back to term four of the school year. Another year has flown by, and we are on the home stretch. Term four is always a busy and exciting term with many events and celebrations to look forward to. I ask all families to please keep a lookout for information and diary dates for events that are relevant to your children.
A reminder too that we have created a new Facebook page this year that is an excellent way for families to stay in touch with everything happening at BANB6. You can access the Facebook page and all of our other forms of communication by checking out the communication page below.
Staffing News
This term we welcome staff who are beginning their time at BANB6, returning or taking up different roles:
Maegen Jarrett
Maegen joins us as an SSO in Purple 1. Welcome Maegen
Michael Hemphill
Michael joins us, replacing Tom in the Garden for term four while Tom enjoys long service leave. Welcome Michael.
Reena Roy Kappan
Reena has taken up the role in administration in the front office, replacing Sue Pearse.
Xi Fang
Xi has taken a role as Learning Advisor in IELC on Mondays and Tuesdays and in Purple 5 on Thursdays.
Michelle Burnley
We welcome back Michelle after having time off for parenting leave. It’s great to have Michelle back and the children were extremely excited to see her on Wednesday when she returned.
Road Safety
I remind all families that when the pedestrian lights are flashing in the morning and afternoon on Marmion Ave out the front of the school, the speed limit is 25 km/h. At the other crossings, the speed limit is 25km/h when children are present. We have many children and families who walk or ride to school and kindy who use these crossings and we must all do our best to make sure every child is safe when they are arriving at school in the morning and leaving in the afternoon. Thank you for your cooperation.
Wishing the BANB6 community a wonderful term four.
Kind Regards
Darren
Final Statements for Outstanding Fees
At the end of last term, families were sent a statement stating all outstanding balances. Thank you to those families who have already actioned.
If you think you may be eligible for school card to cover your school fees, please apply now as this closed very soon. You need to re-apply each year - this does not automatically re-apply each year.
You can apply for schoolcard online or come into the office to collect a paper form.
If you are not eligible to apply, or have other outstanding charges, you can either pay by cash, eft or bank deposit. Payment arrangements can be made. Please see the Business Manager.
We do understand that families may face financial difficulties, but please come and talk about overdue amounts rather than letting them build up. Payment arrangements can be made. Please see the Business Manager.
