Welcome to 2023
Dear BANB6 Community
A very warm welcome to the 2023 school year on behalf of all BANB6 staff. It was wonderful to see all of the children’s smiling faces as they joined us last week.
Learning Advisors, Co-Educators and SSO’s have worked hard to ensure learning environments are welcoming, inviting places where learners could settle into the new school year.
Term one will be full of events and activities that will keep us all busy. Below are some important diary dates for families:
Family Connections Day (Tuesday, February 21)
Family Connections Day is an important event for our school community. It provides families with the opportunity to meet with their children’s Learning Advisor and build strong relationships between school and home right from the beginning of the year. More information to come soon.
WaterWorld Whole School Excursion (Friday, March 10)
Each year during term 1 the entire school spends the day together at WaterWorld. This is a great day of fun and community building for our school to kick off the year in a positive way.
Pupil Free Day (Tuesday, March 14)
On the Tuesday after the Adelaide Cup Public Holiday, staff will spend the day together learning about how we can develop stamina and engagement with the learners of BANB6.
NAPLAN (March 15-27)
The annual NAPLAN testing for learners in year’s 3 and 5 takes place earlier this year from March 15. More information to come for families with learners in year’s three and five.
