From Leadership
Dear BANB7 Community
Welcome back to term 4, wow doesn’t the time fly! The final term of the school year tends to disappear very quickly. Staff at BANB7 are looking forward to celebrating with the children what has been a fantastic year of fun and learning at Blair Athol North.
Welcome Back
This week we have welcomed back some familiar staff faces after being on leave during the year. It has been fantastic to see Kim Schiller, Louise Kitto and Antoinette Krashos re-join the BANB7 family after a period of time away. It is wonderful to have them back with us.
Baby News
Our Children’s Centre Senior Leader, Kim Coyle recently announced some exciting news. Kim and husband Andrew are expecting their first baby early next year. Congratulations Kim and Andrew!
Kim will take the majority of next year as maternity leave. We will announce a temporary replacement for Kim in the coming weeks.
Sports Day
The much-anticipated BANB7 Sports Day or ‘The Big Dance’ as it is also known is fast approaching. Next Friday (October 22) will see Cardwell, Wanganeen, Von Bertouch and Hewitt battle it out for Sports Day honours. What will be most important though is that we will see lots of encouragement, teamwork and great sports’ working with each other on what will be a fun day of activities.
We are thrilled to be able to welcome parents to attend Sports Day this year, but those planning to attend, please ensure you are following all of the COVID-19 guidelines that are still in place.
Parents attending Sports Day, please ensure that you:
- Sign in using the school’s QR code.
- Wear a mask at all times, both inside and outside (unless seated to eat or drink).
- Remember to physically distance at all times.
Raingarden
During the holidays we were excited to see some progress in the planned Raingarden area alongside the Forest. Stage 1 of the development has almost been completed and it is looking fantastic. We can’t wait to get moving on Stages 2 and 3, hopefully in the near future.
Some photos of the exciting project can be seen below.
Graduation
Plans are well and truly in place for the very unique 2021 Graduation. For the first time ever, we graduate our year 6 learners and for the last time ever we graduate our year 7 learners. It is going to be a very special occasion and we wish all of our year 6 and 7 learners a very happy and special final term with us at BANB7.
Towards the end of the term, we will also be celebrating 10 years of BANB7. Stay tuned for further information.
It is certainly shaping up to be an action-packed term 4!
Yours Sincerely
Darren
